Rover V8 Steel Billet Lightweight Flywheel.
Dual Drilled for 9.5 and 10.5" clutch covers
So does a light flywheel make any difference ?
In first gear 1kg removed from the flywheel equates to approx 40 kg removed from the chassis !
This wont have the same effect as higher gears are selected but if you require better aceleration in the lower gears this has got to be the way to go.
Steel Billet Flywheel drilled to accept 9.5,Diameter Clutch Assemblies.
These flywheels being approx 1/3rd the weight of the standard flywheel will allow your engine to spin up faster and the reduced inertia means more power to the wheels instead of being locked up as kinetic engery in the flywheel.
A must have item for lightweight V8 2Wd applications.
These are premium grade units and are complete with integral ring gear.
Drilled for 9.5" diameter clutch (STD 2WD) with clutch locating dowels .
9.5" Clutch uses M8 Bolts and not UNF as per the standard Rover V8 2WD flywheel.
Note : The centre bore of these flywheels is machine to enable a tight fit over the crankshaft mtg. boss. This is intentional to prevent potential flywheel in balance as per the factory flywheels.
